Hay Runner Expands Services to Include Plant Design
East Pine Plant Interior Design business staff and services team up with Hay Runner.
PORTLAND, Feb, 1, 2023: Hay Runner, a Portland based design, construction and real estate company, headquartered at 99 Federal Street, announces the expansion of their design services to include interior plant design. East Pine founder Amalia Bussard and plant care specialist, Sara Kosicki, will officially join the Hay Runner team. Hay Runner is excited to support and continue to grow these unique services which blossomed through the vision and care of Bussard and Kosicki!
About East Pine:
East Pine served as a Portland-based interior plant design company created as a one-stop shop for all things indoor plants. Their work is known throughout the greater Portland area at places like Austin Street Brewery, Apres and SeaWeed Co, to name a few –- showcasing expertise in Interior Plant Design, along with ongoing Plant Care Services.
Now nested under Hay Runner, the services will be known as Hay Runner Plant Design by East Pine, leveraging Hay Runner's systems, architecture & interior design acumen, and craftsmanship with East Pine's green thumb, brilliant aesthetic and proven plant care methods.

Bussard and Kosicki of Hay Runner Plant Design by East Pine, will continue to bring interior spaces to life with curated potted plant collections. Services will include design, installation, plant curation and ongoing plant care maintenance, as well as plant rentals. Their plant inventory and green thumb headquarters will be in the new Lyman School Studios. Purchased in 2022 by Shannon Richards and Caleb Johnson, the retired elementary school building currently being transformed into artist studios and workshops.
