For immediate release: 12/15/22

Portland, ME: Hay Runner buys first floor of Verdante condo building, owner lands on condo association board of directors, starts “Innovation Division” and hires two new directors.

Real estate, design and construction company now predicted to close at nearly $4M in revenue with nearly 40 employees at the close of year three, just added seven vehicles to the fleet and new headquarters at 99 Federal Street.

Leaders of the business are thrilled with the results of focusing on small projects, and the responsible commitment to supporting the intersection of real estate, design, craft, makers and construction.

New “Innovation Division” will streamline existing practices, and develop special projects in line with long-term company goals. Newly appointed Director of Special Projects, Sadie Bliss will spearhead this direction bringing over 15 years of Maine arts non-profit experience. Under her leadership, the Maine Crafts Association’s community impact and engagement grew with now established programs, two fine craft galleries, and the successful merge and restructuring of the organization.

Director of Marketing and Strategy, Greg Clarke joins Hay Runner, bringing 15 years of experience across a variety of industries. As Director of Marketing with Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty in Boston, he was involved with the expansion from five Boston based offices to 20 new offices supporting 450 sales associates.

Owner, and now Verdante condo association board member, Shannon Richards quoted, “I knew the market needed something different, and we are pleased with the results. We are committed to substantive growth and expansion to new geographic locations. Support and trust from a bank like Bangor Savings, is helping us grow this business in a responsible way. I am thrilled to have Sadie Bliss join the team as the Director of Special Projects and Greg Clarke as the Director of Marketing and Strategy.”

These announcements mark the growth and solid data supporting the need for a business offering this combination of services.
