Build Homes, Build Community coalition's new campaign is to make building homes and communities more accessible for Mainers of all kinds.

Leaders from the Build Homes Build Community coalition joined partners Maine State Chamber of Commerce, Maine Real Estate & Development Association (MEREDA), Maine Affordable Housing Coalition, Live and Work in Maine, and lawmakers to highlight real solutions to Maine’s housing crisis. Among other speakers, Shannon Richards spoke about her passion for this coalition and its impact on all of Maine. The coalition is focused on a practical, bipartisan agenda that fits into three simple buckets:


1. Innovate.
2. Streamline.
3. Fund.


We need all three working together to build more homes, faster, in more places, at more price points. More housing means stronger communities, a stronger workforce, and a stronger Maine.
